Welcome to Atomic Entra!

Welcome to Atomic Entra banner

When I initially started this blog, I was not always completely sure what I wanted to talk about. I was earlier in my career, moving through personal and professional change, and interested in nearly every corner of the Microsoft cloud ecosystem. At the time, a lot of my day-to-day work lived around Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft XDR, so that naturally shaped what I wrote about.

Last year, after moving into a consulting role and getting re-exposed to the broader Microsoft cloud landscape, identity became the topic I could not ignore. Between the pace of change in identity security and the explosion of agentic AI, identity keeps becoming more central to how organizations protect access, make decisions, and manage risk.

Zero trust adoption remains a critical pillar for organizations that are serious about cloud transition. Agents and workload identities continue to expand the attack surface of who, or what, needs to be protected. Architecting robust identity solutions will, in my view, make or break the security posture of businesses as we move deeper into an AI-driven landscape.

Enter, Atomic Entra

Atomic Entra is my way of saying that I want to share as much as I know, and as much as I am learning, in the Microsoft identity ecosystem.

With the rapid evolution of Entra as the center of Microsoft's identity universe, and with so many organizations reducing their dependence on legacy Active Directory architecture, I have become increasingly fascinated by the identity problems of today. "Atomic" is my way of keeping the work focused and making it easier to understand for as many people as possible.

Whether it is a video on TikTok, a LinkedIn post, or an article here, the goal is the same: distill the work into something actionable for people who are learning Entra or trying to improve their environment.

This shift does not come without some hesitation. I have spent years bouncing from one interesting problem to another, never fully answering the question of what I wanted to specialize in. It was only when I started allowing myself to go deep on one area that I began to find the answer. That depth made me realize I do have something worth sharing, and this space is part of following through on that.

What's Next?

As I learn more and work through more identity problems, I intend to share as much as I can with as broad an audience as I can.

Between TikTok, LinkedIn, and this site, the goal is simple:

Share knowledge about Microsoft Entra and work to solve the big identity problems.

I hope you will follow along and find something useful in it.
